Oddball PS5 action game Neo Berlin 2087<\/a> has received a new gameplay trailer ahead of Gamescom<\/strong><\/a> next week \u2013 and there\u2019s not a single German accent to be heard.<\/p>\n

This game baffled gamers a couple of years ago<\/a> when it was seemingly revealed out of nowhere, but subsequent footage has been janky<\/a> \u2013 despite the mind-blowing production values on display.<\/p>\n

This trailer starts out with a scene of a man and woman chatting absolute rhubarb about black holes, before it transitions to a montage of action sequences.<\/p>\n

As you\u2019ll notice, this title can\u2019t make up its mind about whether it should be first-person or third-person \u2013 so it\u2019s both at the same time. There\u2019s even a hint of some Max Payne<\/a>-style slow-mo gunplay, as the protagonist dives backwards and picks off his foes.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s what the blurb says:<\/p>\n

\u201cUncover a deep, narrative-driven story through never-before-seen gameplay, new levels, cinematic cutscenes, and intense combat. Meet new characters Bryan and Phoenix in this action-packed Gamescom 2025 reveal.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

We certainly respect the ambition here, and like we mentioned, the production values are impressive. We still need to know more about the gameplay, though, because the dev\u2019s describing this as an action RPG.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s still no release date, however, so don\u2019t expect to be playing this one for quite some time.<\/p>\n
