FORT LAUDERDALE- St. Johns Classical Academy kindergarten\u00a0teacher Sylvia Mencner received the 2025 Charter School Champion of the Year Award from the Florida Consortium of Public Charter Schools (FCPCS).<\/p>\n
Mencner is one of nine teachers throughout Florida who were\u00a0given the special recognition, all representing schools at grade levels ranging from kindergarten to high school.<\/p>\n
The award period covers the 2024\/2025 school year calendar.<\/p>\n
Champion charter school teachers \u201care exceptional teachers who inspire their students to reach high achievement levels at their charter schools,\u201d according to nomination materials.<\/p>\n
For the 12th year, FCPCS received nominations in several categories, including charter school teachers, charter school leaders, charter school governing board members, charter school innovators and charter school pioneers.<\/p>\n
