The Chicago Sky<\/a><\/strong> face the Golden State Valkyries<\/strong> tonight at Wintrust Arena. The Sky come with a three-game losing streak which have left them anchored to the bottom of the table. However, they will have to try to get a win without Angel R<\/strong>eese, who is set to miss the match as she is still recovering from a back injury.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Sky lost their last match to Connecticut Sun, now being 8-24 in the season. Without Reese<\/a><\/strong>, who is officially listed as out for the contest, the team has been relying on standout Kamilla Cardoso, who posted 24 points against the Sun, but the efforts are not enough.<\/p>\n

Reese has been out for six consecutive games since the All-Star break, and according to head coach Tyler Marsh,<\/strong> there\u2019s still no timetable for her return. \u201cIt\u2019s the back injury and she continues to be day-to-day \u2026 I think she\u2019s progressing but still kind of wait and see,\u201d he said recently.\u00a0<\/p>\n

On the other hand, another key absence for the Sky is Courtney Vandersloot, who will miss the rest of the season due to a torn ACL.<\/strong> Meanwhile, Ariel Atkins (leg) and Hailey Van Lith (ankle) are listed as probable for tonight\u2019s match.\u00a0<\/p>\n

This season, Reese is averaging 14.2 points, 12.6 rebounds (leading the league), 3.7 assists and 1.5 steals per game. In that sense, the predicted Sky\u2019s lineup for tonight\u2019s match includes Kia Nurse, Rachel Banham, Kamila Cardoso, Maddy Westbeld, <\/strong>and Rebecca Allen.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Valkyries are without Kayla Thornton,<\/strong> who has been sidelined for the rest of the season with a knee injury. Despite the loss of Thornton, Golden State hold seventh place overall and sit fourth in the Western Conference.
