The Jacksonville Jaguars<\/a> had a relatively light training camp practice on Friday, Aug. 15, at the Miller Electric Center, lasting less than 90 minutes in helmets and shorts, and with the team periods not much more than glorified walk-throughs.<\/p>\n

But after a heavy day in full pads on Thursday lasting two hours, and with the preseason game at New Orleans on Sunday (1 p.m., WJAX-47), it was predictable.<\/p>\n

The practice was also highly efficient for the offense. After eight dropped passes and six penalties<\/a> in the scrimmage the day before, there were no drops and no penalties in 67 plays covering four periods, three 11-on-11 and one 7-on-7.<\/p>\n

The periods focused mostly on red zone and goal-line situations.<\/p>\n

The only drawback to the day was the absence of rookie wide receiver\/cornerback Travis Hunter,<\/a> who was held out as a precaution with an upper-body injury.<\/p>\n

Injuries:<\/strong>\u00a0Although coach Liam Coen<\/a> said it was “precautionary,” Hunter was held out of team periods with what Coen described as an “upper body” injury. Coen also said his status for the preseason game at New Orleans was uncertain. … Offensive tackles Anton Harrison<\/a> and Chuma Edoga<\/a>, cornerback Tyson Campbell<\/a> and wide receiver Eli Pancol worked out on the side. The nature of their injuries was not disclosed, although Harrison limped off the field on Aug. 14 early in the scrimmage and Campbell has been out all week. … Campbell was able to participate in some individual drills. … Remaining out were defensive tackle\u00a0Arik Armstead<\/a>\u00a0(back), linebacker\u00a0Jalen McLeod<\/a>\u00a0(lower body), defensive back\u00a0Caleb Ransaw<\/a>\u00a0(lower body), , cornerback\u00a0Montaric Brown<\/a>\u00a0(lower body) and offensive lineman Cole Van Lanen (shoulder).<\/p>\n
