{"id":149662,"date":"2025-08-16T05:00:15","date_gmt":"2025-08-16T05:00:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/149662\/"},"modified":"2025-08-16T05:00:15","modified_gmt":"2025-08-16T05:00:15","slug":"phoenix-nonprofit-opening-a-new-home-for-arizona-women-re-entering-society-after-leaving-prison","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/149662\/","title":{"rendered":"Phoenix nonprofit opening a new home for Arizona women re-entering society after leaving prison"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A Phoenix nonprofit is opening a new home for women who are re-entering society after being in prison. <\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s called MOM\u2019s House, and it will officially open next month following a $100,000 renovation. <\/p>\n<p>Daren Strunk is chief operating officer with St. Joseph the Worker, which owns and operates MOM\u2019s House.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;re going to be able to service about 15% more women through the house in any given year,&#8221; said Strunk.<\/p>\n<p>The home is part of the organization\u2019s Workforce Villages Re-entry Program, and helps women leaving Perryville Prison transition back into life and the workplace.<\/p>\n<p>This transitional program has already helped create several success stories, Strunk  said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Eighteen of 22 women have come through the program, so far, have successfully saved the money, gotten their own lease.
