A Fort Worth Fire Department captain died after a tragic accident resulting from a fall, the department said this week.<\/p>\n
Capt. Daniel Cearley<\/a>, 50, served the city for 28 years and was an exemplary firefighter and leader, the department said in a statement on social media.<\/p>\n Cearley served as the special events coordinator for the Fire Department.<\/p>\n \u201cHe dedicated countless hours, behind the scenes, ensuring that residents and guests at all of Fort Worth\u2019s events were safe,\u201d the statement said. \u201cCaptain Cearley\u2019s legacy with the Fort Worth Fire Department will not soon be forgotten.
