{"id":150742,"date":"2025-08-16T14:49:10","date_gmt":"2025-08-16T14:49:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/150742\/"},"modified":"2025-08-16T14:49:10","modified_gmt":"2025-08-16T14:49:10","slug":"us-department-of-labor-awards-more-than-1-3m-to-continue-employment-training-services-in-response-to-automotive-layoffs-in-michigan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/150742\/","title":{"rendered":"US Department of Labor awards more than $1.3M to continue employment, training services in response to automotive layoffs in Michigan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>WASHINGTON<\/strong> \u2013 The U.S. Department of Labor today announced an incremental award of more than $1.3 million to continue employment and training services in response to automotive layoffs throughout Michigan.<\/p>\n<p>In September 2023, the department issued Michigan a National Dislocated Worker Grant of up to $4,000,000 \u2013 with an initial award of $1,333,333, to enable the state to provide employment and training services to help displaced workers across the state affected by the impacts of automotive industry layoffs.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Today\u2019s award brings the total funds awarded for this project to date to $2,666,666.
