{"id":151390,"date":"2025-08-16T20:40:12","date_gmt":"2025-08-16T20:40:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/151390\/"},"modified":"2025-08-16T20:40:12","modified_gmt":"2025-08-16T20:40:12","slug":"how-to-watch-tee-times","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/151390\/","title":{"rendered":"How to watch, tee times"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"position:absolute;top:0;left:0;right:0;bottom:0;width:100%;height:100%;z-index:2\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/85662332007-vik.jpg\"\/><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"vidplayicon\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gannett-cdn.com\/appservices\/universal-web\/universal\/icons\/icon-play-alt-white.svg\" alt=\"play\" style=\"height:40px;margin:auto 18px auto 27px;width:40px\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Viktor Hovland\u2019s sharp irons spark BMW Championship run<\/p>\n<p>Viktor Hovland credits precise iron shots and a playoff mindset for his opening round success.<\/p>\n<p>PGA Tour<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s moving day at the 2025 BMW Championship as we head into the weekend at Caves Valley Golf Club in Owings Mills, Maryland, in the PGA Tour\u2019s second\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/sports\/golf\/2025\/08\/13\/fedex-cup-playoff-standings-top-golfers-bmw-championship\/85627631007\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">FedEx Cup<\/a>\u00a0playoff event.<\/p>\n<p>The biggest question as the third round begins on Saturday, Aug. 16, is can anyone move <a href=\"https:\/\/sportsdata.usatoday.com\/golf\/pga\/players\/robert-macintyre\/1093628\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Robert MacIntyre<\/a> from atop the leaderboard after the Scottish golfer vaulted to the top in the first round and stretched his lead in the second.<\/p>\n<p>MacIntyre held a five-shot lead over second-place <a href=\"https:\/\/sportsdata.usatoday.com\/golf\/pga\/players\/scottie-scheffler\/826546\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Scottie Scheffler<\/a> entering Round 3, but Scheffler, the No. 1 player in the world, has been steady as a rock through two days. <a href=\"https:\/\/sportsdata.usatoday.com\/golf\/pga\/players\/ludvig-aberg\/1131884\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ludvig Aberg<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/sportsdata.usatoday.com\/golf\/pga\/players\/hideki-matsuyama\/572838\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hideki Matsuyama<\/a> are lurking close behind, while <a href=\"https:\/\/sportsdata.usatoday.com\/golf\/pga\/players\/rory-mcilroy\/286684\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Rory McIlroy<\/a> made a late charge at the end of the second round to reach the top dozen.<\/p>\n<p>Third-round play Saturday gets underway at 9 a.m. ET. MacIntyre and Scheffler are the last pair to tee off at 1:45 p.m. ET.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/sports\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">USA TODAY Sports<\/a>\u00a0will be following everything happening on the course at the 2025 BMW Championship. Here are updates from the third round of the PGA Tour\u2019s second FedEx Cup Playoffs event:<\/p>\n<p>BMW Championship leaderboard<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1. Robert MacIntyre: -15<\/li>\n<li>2. Scottie Scheffler: -11<\/li>\n<li>T3. Michael Kim -8<\/li>\n<li>T3. Maverick McNealy -8<\/li>\n<li>T3. Harry Hall: -8<\/li>\n<li>T3. Tommy Fleetwood: -6<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>BMW CHAMPIONSHIP:<\/strong>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/sportsdata.usatoday.com\/golf\/pga\/leaderboard\/5008085\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Updated tee times, full leaderboard<\/a><\/p>\n<p>He birdies on the ninth hole to improve to -15 for the tournament. He has a four-shot lead on Scottie Scheffler.<\/p>\n<p>MacIntyre bogeyed on the first hole on Saturday but birdied on No. 4. Scottie Scheffler has pulled to within three with two birdies, including on the seventh.<\/p>\n<p>The leaders are starting to make their way to the course, starting with golfers at the bottom or near the top 10. Rickie Fowler (3-under) and Rory McIlroy (4-under) have begun, with the group tied for 8th (Viktor Hovland, Sam Burns, Harry Hall) right behind them, starting their third round.<\/p>\n<p>Akshay Bhatia is 3-under for the round and is inching closer to the top 30 threshold to compete next week. Lucas Glover also has a low score of 3-under and is 5-over the tournament.<\/p>\n<p>As the clock strikes noon, a couple of golfers, including Nick Taylor and Cameron Young, have a chance to get under par. Both are comfortably in the Tour Championship field for now.<\/p>\n<p>About 15 golfers have teed off in the 3rd round, and most are struggling in the beginning stages of moving day. Lucas Glover is off to a good start at 2-under through his first six holes. Gerard has some ground to make up to make the Tour Championship as he sits 32nd in the FedEx Standings and begins the round at 11-over.
