North Texans can expect much of the recent heat to continue through this weekend and into the beginning of next week.<\/p>\n
The weekend kicked off with a heat advisory being issued until 8 p.m. Saturday as high temperatures will remain in the high 90s. According to the National Weather Service\u2019s Fort Worth office, heat indexes could be as high as 108.<\/p>\n
There will be some rain around North and Central Texas that will mostly skirt the Dallas-Fort Worth area this weekend, though some rain chances will return starting Wednesday.<\/p>\n
The weather service reminded residents to drink plenty of water, wear light-colored, breathable clothing and to take frequent breaks in the shade or inside if needing to spend time outside.<\/p>\n
