On Friday, August 15, The Real Housewives of Atlanta<\/a> daughter said goodbye to summer vacation and hello to the first grade. And you best believe her mom, Porsha Williams<\/a>,\u00a0pulled out all the stops for the milestone.<\/p>\n

While many parents mark the first day of school by snapping a few morning photos or perhaps making a special lunch, Porsha rang in the day with an over-the-top celebration fit for a princess. She shared the surprise in an Instagram carousel<\/a> that showed little PJ posing before a colorful balloon arch outside the family\u2019s front door. The structure was adorned with giant school-themed cutouts, including a pair of scissors, an eaten apple, the ABCs, pencils, and a ruler.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cPILAR\u2019S 1st Day of school !!\u201d the caption read, followed by the hashtags \u201cMyVillage\u201d and \u201cPJDday.\u201d \u201cMy big girls is in the First Grade. Of course we had to celebrate!\u201d<\/p>\n

The subsequent slides showed that the decor continued into the driveway, where another balloon structure cascaded down a school-themed backdrop emblazoned with PJ\u2019s name. The 6-year-old girl was all smiles as she posed with a bouquet and a \u201cget to know me board” that had fun details about her likes and personality. A quick zoom-in revealed that PJ\u2019s favorite food was \u201cHershey\u2019s,\u201d her favorite activity was \u201cskating,\u201d and her dream job was a \u201cpolice officer.\u201d<\/p>\n

The post also showed Porsha and her ex-fianc\u00e9, Dennis McKinley<\/a>, standing beneath the arch with their daughter, proving their coparenting relationship was still going strong. Even the ex-couple\u2019s moms came together for PJ\u2019s big send-off.<\/p>\n

Porsha and Dennis welcomed PJ in March 2019<\/a>, less than a year before calling off their engagement<\/a>. Although the parents have had their fair share of ups and downs over the years, they\u2019ve maintained a pretty solid coparenting relationship. Porsha addressed the dynamic during her March 9 appearance on\u00a0Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen<\/a>, insisting she and Dennis were on \u201cgood\u201d terms\u2026 for now.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou know, it\u2019s always good when I\u2019m single,\u201d she said. \u201cNow, we gonna see when I get somebody, but it\u2019s good.\u201d<\/p>\n

The answer led to a follow-up question: Would Porsha consider rekindling her romance with Dennis?<\/p>\n

\u201cNo, no, no,\u201d she told host Andy Cohen<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019ve tried, I\u2019ve thought about it, I\u2019ve prayed about it, but it\u2019s just not in the stars for us.\u201d<\/p>\n
