Cardi B announced her new single, which samples Jay-Z&#8217;s original, last week with trailer. Cardi&#8217;s new single follows the same concept at the original where she raps about comparing the haters to her lavish lifestyle. <\/p>\n<p class=\"font-lora text-dark-grey !leading-[1.9125rem] break-words text-[17px] lg:text-lg\">Hov&#8217;s &#8220;Imaginary Players&#8221; was a diss track towards <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hotnewhiphop.com\/416066-mase-speaks-on-1997-imaginary-players-diss-from-jay-z-news\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"font-semibold hover:text-accent-color border-b-2 border-accent-color\">Mase<\/a>. At the time, the two were at odds as they climb the ranks to potentially become Hip-Hop&#8217;s coveted &#8220;King of New York.&#8221; In the track, Jay-Z would question the authencity of Mase&#8217;s lifestyle, ranging from vehicles to jewelry.  Jay-Z <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hotnewhiphop.com\/937403-cardi-b-jay-z-approved-new-single-imaginary-players-hip-hop-news\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"font-semibold hover:text-accent-color border-b-2 border-accent-color\">approved<\/a> of Cardi B sampling the song, according to the &#8220;Bodak Yellow&#8221; hitmaker.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jay-Z <\/strong><strong>\u00a0In My Lifetime Vol. 1\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"font-lora text-dark-grey !leading-[1.9125rem] break-words text-[17px] lg:text-lg\">In My Lifetime Vol. 1 is Jay-Z\u2019s first release after his Roc-A-Fella Records signed a deal with Def Jam Records. Released in November 1997, the album sold 138,000 copies in its first week. The album would eventually secure platinum certification and peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-lora text-dark-grey !leading-[1.9125rem] break-words text-[17px] lg:text-lg\">The album features several hit singles and classic deep cuts such as \u201cThe City Is Mine,\u201d \u201cStreets Is Watching,\u201d and \u201cFriend or Foe \u201898.\u201d The classic film, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hotnewhiphop.com\/359875-re-visiting-jay-zs-streets-is-watching-24-years-later-new-song\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"font-semibold hover:text-accent-color border-b-2 border-accent-color\">Streets Is Watching<\/a>, would support the album. Volume 1 features guest appearances by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hotnewhiphop.com\/profile\/tooshortreal\" class=\"font-semibold hover:text-accent-color border-b-2 border-accent-color\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Too Short<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hotnewhiphop.com\/profile\/lilkim\" class=\"font-semibold hover:text-accent-color border-b-2 border-accent-color\" target=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Lil Kim<\/a>, and Blackstreet.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-lora text-dark-grey !leading-[1.9125rem] break-words text-[17px] lg:text-lg\">Cardi B\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/music.apple.com\/us\/album\/am-i-the-drama\/1821526317\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" class=\"font-semibold hover:text-accent-color border-b-2 border-accent-color\">Am I The Drama?<\/a> will be released on September 19.
