Alisson<\/a> has insisted \u201cnobody talks about\u201d the challenge Liverpool are facing with integrating so many new signings, despite the obvious quality they bring.<\/b><\/p>\n

It has been an unprecedented summer for Liverpool in terms of changes to the squad, with a host of key players departing and nine new faces arriving so far.<\/p>\n

Four of those started in Friday\u2019s opener against Bournemouth<\/a>, with Milos Kerkez<\/a> lining up against his former club and Florian Wirtz<\/a>, Hugo Ekitike<\/a> and Jeremie Frimpong<\/a> all making their Premier League<\/a> debuts.<\/p>\n

That meant big changes in every area of the pitch, not least in front of Alisson<\/a>, with a very different dynamic to work with at full-back.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Speaking to NBC Sports after the 4-2 victory, the goalkeeper admitted it was a \u201cbig challenge\u201d adjusting to so many changes to the squad \u2013 albeit one he and his teammates were embracing.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it\u2019s hard. Not many people talk about the changes we had in the team,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cEverybody\u2019s said how good our team is becoming with new players coming in, but nobody talks about the challenge that this is. It is a big challenge.<\/p>\n

\u201cLast season we had the challenge of changing manager, but you keep the players so you know each other, you just have to keep the same way of playing.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe manager was smart in the way he did that and also implementing new things, it was easy for us to understand.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut having new players to come in and changing a lot\u2026today Ryan, who is a really important player for us, didn\u2019t play as well. But everybody did amazingly well.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think for them to play, for Jeremie, for Flo and for Hugo, playing for the first time in the Premier League<\/a>, you have the physicality that\u2019s a little bit different, the intensity.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut they showed up so well today, they played amazingly well.<\/p>\n

\u201cOf course with our help, but they showed that their qualities are at the standard of Liverpool FC.\u201d<\/p>\n

\"LIVERPOOL,<\/p>\n

Liverpool head into the new campaign as overwhelming favourites for the title, not only as they are reigning champions but largely due to the amount of money they have spent.<\/p>\n

That is set to continue with moves for Crystal Palace<\/a> centre-back Marc Guehi and Newcastle<\/a> striker Alexander Isak in the offing, though Alisson<\/a> has faith in the process.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt will be a huge challenge for us, not only because of the level of the league, but for the changes, players with top quality who left us,\u201d the Brazilian continued.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut I trust our team, I trust our players, I trust our manager, I trust the plan, that we are capable of doing great things.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut we know that we have to play every game thinking that it\u2019s the final, the most important game.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe did that tonight, we want to win a game playing well, in a smooth way, but if that doesn\u2019t happen you have to force it the way we did.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Another factor that can be easily forgotten on the start of this new season is that this Liverpool squad is one playing through grief following the tragic death of Diogo Jota<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cOf course with all of the things that happened in the last month with us, it\u2019s never easy,\u201d Alisson<\/a> said.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut I think everybody\u2019s coping in a good way because we are together.<\/p>\n

\u201cToday, the supporters, they showed us the support they have, and most importantly we are together in this.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut of course we have a big goal, big target, for the season. That is fighting for the title again \u2013 not only for the Premier League<\/a> but for the other competitions.<\/p>\n
