SAN ANTONIO – A food truck worker is facing aggravated assault charges after shooting a man who allegedly attempted to steal a tip jar full of money from the business. <\/p>\n
The incident began around 11:45 p.m. Saturday in the 1100 block of West Hildebrand Avenue on the city’s North Side. <\/p>\n
According to the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD), the man went to the business earlier in the day and attempted to steal a tip jar full of money. <\/p>\n
A report was filed with officers on the business’s behalf, but approximately one hour after this incident, an employee of the food truck spotted the same man across the street. <\/p>\n
Police say the employee drove across the street and approached the man, then shot him once in the chest. <\/p>\n
The man was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
