Bill Maher<\/a> has lashed out at Democrats for declining to come on his show.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople ask me all the time, \u2018Why haven\u2019t you ever had Hillary or Bill Clinton on? Why didn\u2019t you have Kamala on during the last campaign?\u2019\u201d Maher said on Real Time with Bill Maher<\/a> Friday. \u201cYou think we don\u2019t ask?\u201d<\/p>\n

Noting that it took him \u201ceight years and a petition to get Obama on,\u201d Maher lamented that he could not even attract Democratic politicians for whom he has voted. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe ask these people every week. They say, \u2018No,\u2019\u201d he added. \u201cAnd these are people, all people I voted for. Think about that. They\u2019re afraid to come on the show of a guy who voted for them.\u201d<\/p>\n

\"MaherBill Maher complained that it took eight years to get former President Barack Obama on his show. HBO <\/p>\n

By contrast, Maher stated, \u201cThe Republicans? They show up. And when they do, they take their beating like a man.\u201d<\/p>\n

The comedian then shared a montage of some of his most dramatic altercations with Republican figures, including Trump confidant Steve Bannon and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.<\/p>\n

Maher then name-dropped some of the Democratic politicians he would like to interview, including New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani, and Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren. <\/p>\n

\u201cLook, I would love to have AOC on the show and Mamdani and Elizabeth Warren, but I can\u2019t subpoena the guests, and I can\u2019t fix that,\u201d he said. \u201cI can\u2019t fix that what the Democrats are scared of more than anything else\u2014I mean, obviously, besides gluten\u2014is being primaried from the far left.”<\/p>\n

\"RepresentativeMaher threw down the gauntlet to New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani and New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, saying he’d “love” to have them on his program. REUTERS\/Jeenah Moon <\/p>\n

\u201cEven though most Democrats are not far-left, they\u2019re mild-mannered and moderate,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Maher has regularly taken aim at Democrats. Earlier this year, he raged at the party for making itself \u201cso unlikable\u201d via cancel culture<\/a> that it would never control the White House.<\/p>\n
