The answer: No. (The Mets probably wouldn\u2019t trade him, anyway.)<\/p>\n<p>The Yankees may not be entirely over the rejection. But the answer I got was: Nobody is taking that contract.<\/p>\n<p>When I pointed out the Yankees <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/12\/08\/sports\/yankees-made-16-year-760-million-megadeal-juan-soto\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">offered only $5M less<\/a> \u2014 $760M to $765M \u2014 and the Mets already paid $126M of it, including the $75M signing bonus, the answer was still no.<\/p>\n<p>Soto and Aaron Judge had a special relationship.
