A man shot a woman to death, then wounded a man who tried to intervene during their argument in the Harvard Heights community of Los Angeles, authorities said Sunday.<\/p>\n
Officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of South St. Andrews Place, near Pico Boulevard and Western Avenue, at about 10:30 p.m. Saturday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.<\/p>\n
The suspected gunman, a 60-year-old man, was arguing with a 50-year-old woman who began calling out for help, police said. A man in a vehicle pulled up to intervene, and the gunman shot the woman and the man.<\/p>\n
Both victims were rushed to a hospital, where the woman died from her gunshot wound. The man had stable vital signs, police said.<\/p>\n
The gunman fled the scene on foot.<\/p>\n
