The Aces teamed up with the Kay Yow Cancer Fund to transform awareness into action in the fight against cancer. Every minute, another woman receives a diagnosis, touching lives across every age, background, and community.<\/p>\n

This year’s spotlight is on Triple Negative Breast Cancer, a particularly aggressive form of the disease that disproportionately affects Black women. During Sunday afternoon’s matchup against the Wings, each three-point shot the Aces sink will fuel support for programs that expand access to quality cancer care for women in underserved communities.<\/p>\n

Three-Pointers Made By The Aces On Sunday Will Support Kay Yow Cancer Fund\"LasThe Blast | Melanie VanDerveer<\/p>\n

According to the pledge website, “This year, we are shining a light on\u00a0Triple Negative Breast Cancer, a devastating disease that disproportionately affects\u00a0Black women. On\u00a0August 17, every\u00a0three-pointer\u00a0made by the Aces will represent a\u00a0step forward\u2014supporting programs that improve\u00a0access to quality cancer care\u00a0for\u00a0under-resourced women. Together, we are breaking down barriers to\u00a0health equity.”<\/p>\n

Kay Yow Cancer Fund’s mission is to raise funds for “life saving cancer research, underserved programs that provide access to quality cancer healthcare, and unite people in the fight against all cancers affecting women.”<\/p>\n

You Can Donate A Few Different Ways\"LasInstagram Story | Las Vegas Aces<\/p>\n

Fans who want to donate to the fundraiser have a few different options.<\/p>\n

One way to donate is to pledge an amount to donate for every 3-point field goal made. Or if you prefer to just choose one amount, you can donate your chosen amount as a flat donation (not per 3-pointer).<\/p>\n

The goal set to raise is $15,000.<\/p>\n

According to the website, “Each generous donation to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund is 100% tax deductible. Thank you for supporting the Las Vegas Aces and shifting the momentum from cancer awareness into action!”<\/p>\n

Bid On Two Las Vegas Aces Items To Donate To The Cause\"A'jaEvan Guerra<\/p>\n

There is also an auction taking place with two items currently taking bids – a 2025 teamed signed Aces basketball and an A’ja Wilson<\/strong><\/a> autographed jersey.<\/p>\n

The website describes the basketball auction<\/a> as: “Own a piece of championship-caliber history with this official WNBA basketball signed by the 2025 Las Vegas Aces! This exclusive collectible features authentic signatures from the entire 2025 roster, including MVPs, All-Stars, and future Hall of Famers.”<\/p>\n

The description of the signed jersey<\/a> reads, “Take home a jersey signed by A’ja Wilson, two-time WNBA MVP, Olympic gold medalist, and cornerstone of the Las Vegas Aces dynasty. This authentic jersey is hand-signed by A’ja Wilson herself, making it a prized piece for any sports fan or collector.”<\/p>\n

The Aces Play The Wings In The House Sunday At 12:30 p.m. PT\"LasEvan Guerra<\/p>\n

The Aces have played the Wings four prior times this season, winning each time.<\/p>\n

The first was a preseason game where the Aces beat the Wings 112-78. The second meeting was June 13 when the Aces won 88-84. Third time meeting, the Aces dominated the Wings 90-86 on July 16, and the fourth matchup had the Aces on top with 106-80 on July 27.<\/p>\n

The Aces have won the past six consecutive games going into today’s game, so they are hoping to make that seven.<\/p>\n

What’s Next For The Aces?\"BucketsMelanie VanDerveer<\/p>\n

After today’s game against the Wings, the Aces will face the Atlanta Dream on Tuesday, Aug. 19 and then the Phoenix Mercury on Thursday, Aug. 21, both at home in Michelob ULTRA Arena inside Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n

They then hit the road for three games – Washington Mystics on Saturday, Aug. 23, Chicago Sky on Monday, Aug. 25, and Atlanta Dream on Wednesday, Aug. 27.<\/p>\n

And then it’s back in Vegas to play at T-Mobile for the next two home games, both against the Chicago Sky, on Sunday, Sept. 7 and Tuesday, Sept. 9. Their last regular season game is in Los Angeles against the Los Angeles Sparks on Thursday, Sept. 11.<\/p>\n
