They have not been identified as of Sunday evening.<\/p>\n<p>SAN ANTONIO \u2014 Two drivers are dead after a major crash in San Antonio Sunday evening.<\/p>\n<p>Police were called to a major accident around the area of Fischer Road and I-35 around 4:37 p.m. The accident involved a black Mustang and a silver SUV.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Police say the male driver of the black Mustang was driving at a high rate of speed towards I-35. The driver eventually lost control, crashing into the silver SUV driven by an unknown woman, causing significant damage to both vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>Both drivers died at the scene. They have not been identified as of Sunday evening.<\/p>\n<p>There was one passenger in each vehicle that were taken to the hospital with major injuries. In the silver SUV they believe there was a 70-year-old man and in the black mustang there was a man in his mid-40s.<\/p>\n<p>There are no criminal elements to this crash as of yet, however police say they haven&#8217;t had an opportunity to search the vehicles for any alcohol.<\/p>\n<p>SAPD asks to stay away from the area for the next couple hours as the road is closed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>This is a developing situation and KENS 5 will continue to update this article as we learn more.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Both drivers died at the scene.
