SAN ANTONIO – Two people have died, and two have been severely injured after a major crash near a major highway.<\/p>\n
Around 4:40 p.m., police were called to the scene of a major vehicle accident near the corner of Fischer Road and I-35 Westbound.<\/p>\n
When first responders arrived, they found that a Ford Mustang and a Ford Fusion had collided at an intersection.<\/p>\n
According to investigators, the Mustang had been traveling at a high rate of speed along Fischer Road when it collided with the Ford Fusion that was driving westbound, crossing Fischer.<\/p>\n
Both the driver of the Mustang, an unidentified man, as well as the driver of the sedan, an unidentified woman, were pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n
The vehicles each had one passenger. Both of those passengers were transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition.<\/p>\n
Crews will remain investigating and clearing the scene for the next several hours.
