Former Alabama<\/a> and NFL running back T.J. Yeldon <\/a>is facing three charges after the Baldwin County Sheriff\u2019s Office arrested him in a domestic incident on Saturday.<\/p>\n

According to the Baldwin County Sheriff\u2019s Office records<\/a>, Yeldon was arrested at 2:11 a.m. CDT Saturday.<\/p>\n

The charges against Yeldon include <\/a>harassment-family, interference with a domestic-violence emergency call and criminal mischief third-other. <\/p>\n

Criminal mischief in the third degree is a misdemeanor involving damage to property that does not exceed $500. <\/p>\n

Yeldon left the Baldwin County Corrections Center on Sunday after posting a $2,000 bond.<\/p>\n

According to a Baldwin County Sheriff\u2019s Office press release, deputies responded to a 911 call from the 28000 block of Alabama Highway 181 at around 1 a.m. Saturday.<\/p>\n

The area south of Malbis is less than 2 miles from Jubilee Stadium, where Yeldon starred for Daphne High School.<\/p>\n

According to a press release from the Baldwin County Sheriff\u2019s Office, deputies on the scene \u201ccould hear an active domestic occurring within a residence. Deputies knocked on the door, and the male party saw the deputies, turned off the lights and refused to open the door. The caller stated that she was able to get to the bedroom and lock the door when deputies arrived, but after turning the lights off, the male party was attempting to get into the bedroom with the victim. This information was provided to the deputies on scene, and BCSO personnel attempted to make forced entry. At that time, the male unlocked the door and was detained.\u201d <\/p>\n

Yeldon most recently played in the NFL in the 2020 season.<\/p>\n

At Daphne High School, Yeldon ran for 1,112 yards and 18 touchdowns and caught 34 passes for 504 yards and five touchdowns in 2010 for the Trojans\u2019 AHSAA Class 6A championship team. The next season, Yeldon earned Alabama\u2019s Mr. Football honor as he rolled up 2,193 rushing yards and scored 32 touchdowns to push his high-school totals to 4,653 rushing yards and 73 touchdowns.<\/p>\n

At Alabama, Yeldon ran for 3,322 yards and 37 touchdowns on 576 carries and caught 46 passes for 494 yards and two touchdowns in three seasons. Yeldon and Eddie Lacy gave the Crimson Tide a pair of 1,000-yard rushers in the backfield on the 2012 BCS national-championship team.<\/p>\n

Yeldon entered the NFL as a second-round selection of the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 2015 draft. Although he missed four games with injuries, Yeldon dominated the Jaguars\u2019 backfield as a rookie with 740 yards and two touchdowns on 182 rushing attempts and 279 yards and one touchdown on 36 receptions.<\/p>\n

In 2016, Jacksonville added Chris Ivory, coming off a 1,000-yard season for the New York Jets, in free agency. Yeldon carried the football 52 fewer times than he did the previous season even though he played three more games. He finished with 465 yards on 130 carries, and Ivory had 439 on 117. Yeldon also caught 50 passes for 312 yards and one touchdown.<\/p>\n

In 2017, the Jaguars used the fourth pick in the draft on LSU running back Leonard Fournette. While Fournette ran for more than 1,000 yards and Ivory got 112 carries in relief, Yeldon completed the season with 253 yards on 49 rushing attempts, with 122 coming in one game against Indianapolis with Fournette sidelined.<\/p>\n

With Fournette missing half the 2018 season, Yeldon ran for 414 yards and one touchdown on 104 carries while catching 55 passes for 487 yards and four TDs in the final season of his rookie contract before departing Jacksonville.<\/p>\n

Yeldon joined the Buffalo Bills in free agency on a two-year, $3.2 million contract<\/a>. <\/p>\n

In 2019, he played 150 offensive snaps in six games, ran for 63 yards on 17 carries and caught 13 passes for 124 yards as Buffalo used Devin Singletary and Frank Gore as its primary running backs. In 2020, Yeldon had 70 yards on 10 rushing attempts and a 22-yard touchdown reception in three regular-season games behind Singletary and Zach Moss.<\/p>\n

During his NFL career, Yeldon ran for 2,005 yards and six touchdowns on 492 carries and caught 185 passes for 1,448 yards and seven touchdowns in 60 regular-season games. In four playoff games, Yeldon totaled 64 yards and one touchdown on 15 carries and nine receptions for 104 yards.<\/p>\n
