Police are investigating the spray-painting of swastikas outside an elementary in Tarzana on Sunday, authorities said.<\/p>\n
Spray-painted were discovered on a fence and outdoor artwork at Wilbur Charter for Enriched Academics, an elementary school located on the 5200 block of Crebs Avenue in Tarzana.<\/p>\n
Just last week, officers responded to a report that swastikas and anti-Jewish language were found at the entrance of Winnetka Avenue and the 101 Freeway, said Sgt. Bruce Borihanh of the Los Angeles Police Department.<\/p>\n
Similar graffiti, including swastikas and \u201cSS\u201d lightning bolt symbols, was located nearby, near a bridge on Burbank Boulevard, as well as on surrounding walls and sidewalks, said LAPD last week.<\/p>\n
The building located on Winnetka Avenue, called the Shepherd Community Center, serves as the offices of the IAC\u2019s LA region and as a community center for the local Israeli-American and American Jewish communities.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are appalled by this vile act of antisemitism at the doorstep of our own community and offices,\u201d said Israeli-American Council (IAC) CEO\u00a0Elan S. Carr, the former US Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism. <\/p>\n
Police have not released any suspect information.<\/p>\n
It is unclear if the two incidents are connected.<\/p>\n
