PHOENIX (AZFamily)<\/b> \u2014 Two major airlines are joining together to offer nonstop flights from North America to Taipei, Taiwan. <\/p>\n
STARLUX Airlines announced that it would be teaming up with American Airlines, connecting major cities like Phoenix, New York, Philadelphia, Boston and more to Taipei. Earlier this year, Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego announced that the flight from Phoenix to Taipei\u2019s Taoyuan Airport<\/a> would begin early next year, marking the Valley\u2019s first nonstop flight to Asia. <\/p>\n \u201cWe are very honored to have the partnership with American Airlines \u2014 one of the United States top airlines,\u201d STARLUX CEO Glenn Chai said in a statement. \u201cThe partnership will greatly expand STARLUX\u2019s reach into the U.S., with customers accessing American\u2019s vast North American network. It will also increase travel choices for American Airlines customers looking to travel to Taipei.\u201d <\/p>\n A spokesperson for American Airlines says through the new partnership, customers will have convenient connections from Taipei to over 250 North American destinations. <\/p>\n Officials with STARLUX add that the airline has scheduled its Phoenix flights to allow for smooth connections to other major U.S. cities. <\/p>\n STARLUX has launched ticket sales for its new route between Phoenix and Taipei.
