{"id":155813,"date":"2025-08-18T13:28:17","date_gmt":"2025-08-18T13:28:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/155813\/"},"modified":"2025-08-18T13:28:17","modified_gmt":"2025-08-18T13:28:17","slug":"heres-why-pan-pan-the-d-fw-mexican-japanese-bakery-went-viral-on-tiktok","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/155813\/","title":{"rendered":"Here\u2019s why Pan Pan, the D-FW Mexican-Japanese bakery, went viral on TikTok"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">Not even in her wildest dreams did Laura Molinar imagine that one year after opening <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/panpanbakeryandcafe\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/panpanbakeryandcafe\/\">Pan Pan Bakery and Cafe<\/a>, there would be lines of people waiting to buy her bread or her drinks after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@panpanbakeryandcafe\/video\/7536006883946122510\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@panpanbakeryandcafe\/video\/7536006883946122510\">one of her videos<\/a> went viral.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">At 21, this young entrepreneur has already built a business that now employs 25 people and sells around 2,000 pieces of bread daily in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/food\/restaurant-openings\/2025\/06\/21\/campo-verde-christmas-restaurant-arlington-new-owners-queso\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/food\/restaurant-openings\/2025\/06\/21\/campo-verde-christmas-restaurant-arlington-new-owners-queso\/\">Dalworthington Gardens<\/a>, near Arlington. Her best seller is the concha-matcha, which she describes as the perfect fusion of Mexican bread and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/business\/2025\/07\/28\/to-d-fw-from-asia-with-love-and-dollars-japan-council-picks-arlington-for-2026-summit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/business\/2025\/07\/28\/to-d-fw-from-asia-with-love-and-dollars-japan-council-picks-arlington-for-2026-summit\/\">Japanese<\/a> culture, the business\u2019s specialty.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">\u201cI don\u2019t know where the idea to make bread came from,\u201d Molinar told The Dallas Morning News. \u201cEver since I was little, I designed my own birthday cakes, and when I saw my grandmother making cookies, I always asked her for the recipe, but she told me I had to find my own way of doing it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">Molinar found her teachers on YouTube, learning how to bake cookies and bread, or prepare signature drinks, especially matcha. At 16, in high school, she started her business, selling Mexican bread at pop-ups. First, follow your dreams and everything will be fine,\u201d Molinar said. \u201cAnd that advice has always stayed with me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">After a trip to Japan with her family, she discovered the softness of the bread sold there. She wanted to do something similar, but fuse Japanese bread with Mexican bread.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">When she was 19, a man approached her at one of her pop-ups and told her that there was a person with a bakery in Dalworthington Gardens who was looking to retire and wanted to sell their business. A week ago, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@panpanbakeryandcafe\/video\/7536006883946122510\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@panpanbakeryandcafe\/video\/7536006883946122510\">video on TikTok<\/a> in which Molinar explains her business surpassed 16 million views and attracted hundreds of people who lined up for over an hour, despite the heat, to buy one of her products.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">\u201cI would like to expand this building so people don\u2019t have to wait outside,\u201d Molinar said.
