{"id":156132,"date":"2025-08-18T16:21:14","date_gmt":"2025-08-18T16:21:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/156132\/"},"modified":"2025-08-18T16:21:14","modified_gmt":"2025-08-18T16:21:14","slug":"woman-struck-killed-by-car-in-central-phoenix","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/156132\/","title":{"rendered":"Woman struck, killed by car in central Phoenix"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\"><b>PHOENIX (AZFamily)<\/b> \u2014 A woman is dead after she was struck by a vehicle in central Phoenix late Sunday night.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">Police and fire crews responded to the area of <a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/48CjgUsKzwfvAghW9\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/48CjgUsKzwfvAghW9\">25th Drive and Glendale Avenue<\/a>, just west of Interstate 17, around 11 p.m. and located an unresponsive woman on the roadway. She was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">Phoenix police say the driver who was involved remained at the scene. Video from the scene shows a Chevrolet Corvette with damage to the passenger side of the windshield.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">Detectives responded, and the area was shut down for hours during the investigation.
