The photo exhibit featuring prominent musicians like <strong>Billy Strings<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Derek Trucks<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Bootsy Collins<\/strong> with their faces obscured by their instruments will travel to fan-favorite Colorado venues throughout August.<\/p>\n<p>After kicking off the\u00a0InstrumentHead art truck tour\u00a0with stops at\u00a0<strong>Telluride Jazz Festival<\/strong>, <strong>Aspen Art Collective<\/strong>, and Utah\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Park City Song Summit<\/strong>, Weintrob will take the exhibit to Fort Collins, CO\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Aggie Theatre<\/strong> on Tuesday, August 19th. On the afternoon of Sunday, August 24th, Weintrob will stop at Denver hotspot <strong>Cervantes\u2019 Masterpiece Ballroom<\/strong> for the third-annual Mile High Poster Show\u00a0before setting up camp for three nights at <strong>Red Rocks Amphitheatre<\/strong> in nearby Morrison.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/liveforlivemusic.com\/news\/cbs-michael-weintrob-instrumenthead-photo\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">nationally recognized<\/a> photographer will host his exhibition August 27th\u201329th during Red Rocks shows by\u00a0<strong>Teddy Swims<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Sierra Ferrell<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>Little Big Town<\/strong>, respectively. Finally, the Colorado tour will wrap on Sunday, August 31st, at the <strong>Boulder Theater<\/strong>, where\u00a0<strong>Dark Star Orchestra<\/strong> will perform that evening. Following the Centennial State dates, Weintrob will make one more stop at\u00a0<strong>The Factory<\/strong> in St. Louis, MO on Tuesday, September 2nd.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI started my career in Colorado\u2014my first InstrumentHead portrait was done at the Aggie Theatre with <strong>Derek Trucks Band<\/strong> in 2000 \u2014and I\u2019ve got deep roots here, so I wanted to bring my work back and make it accessible,\u201d Weintrob told\u00a0Live For Live Music of his decision to take his exhibit on tour. \u201cBy having the mobile truck I can go to more places. It\u2019s a full circle moment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This tour will see Weintrob load his acclaimed exhibit into a modified box truck and deliver photos, songs, and stories from the road to venues throughout the Rocky Mountains. His innovative series puts a unique twist on musician photo shoots, blocking the artist\u2019s face and instead using their instrument and other identifying equipment to hint at their identity.
