\n\tKevin Costner<\/a> and Jake Gyllenhaal<\/a> have signed on to star in Honeymoon with Harry<\/a>, a dramedy for Amazon MGM Studios<\/a> based on the book by Bart Baker, the studio announced on Monday. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe film follows a man (Gyllenhaal) as he decides to go on a honeymoon with his would-be father-in-law (Costner) after his fianc\u00e9e dies two days before their wedding. Glenn Ficarra and John Requa will direct the film from a script by Dan Fogelman, with whom they\u2019ve worked on shows like Paradise and This Is Us, as well as the film Crazy, Stupid, Love.<\/p>\n

\n\tProducers include Fogelman, Mike Karz via Gulfstream Pictures, and Jennifer Salke via her newly launched Sullivan Street Productions banner. The project marks the latter\u2019s first project with Amazon MGM since stepping down<\/a> as head of the studio earlier this year and her producing debut. Salke reunites with Fogelman here after championing his hit family drama This Is Us during her pre-Amazon MGM days as President of NBC Entertainment.<\/p>\n

\n\tHoneymoon with Harry also reunites Karz and Gulfstream Pictures with Amazon MGM Studios following his work on their romantic comedy Upgraded, starring Camila Mendes, and racing pic One Fast Move, starring KJ Apa and Eric Dane. The project was originally developed at New Line, where Karz set it up through his overall deal at the time.<\/p>\n

\n\tRecently, Gyllenhaal has exec produced and starred in the hit Apple series Presumed Innocent, earning Emmy and Golden Globe noms for Best Actor. The show remains the streamer\u2019s #1 most viewed drama of all time and will return for a second season, which Gyllenhaal will exec produce under his Nine Stories banner. Upcoming, he\u2019ll also be seen in M. Night Shyamalan\u2019s Remain and Maggie Gyllenhaal\u2019s The Bride!, both for Warner Bros. His company Nine Stories is under a three-year first-look film deal with Amazon MGM.<\/p>\n

\n\tCostner most recently directed, produced and starred in Horizon: An American Saga, a multi-part Civil War epic.\u00a0Recently, he\u2019s also executive produced and starred in the hit Paramount drama, Yellowstone, earning a Golden Globe nom for his acting work. Through his Territory Pictures, he also serves as executive producer of the forthcoming Civil War spy drama The Gray House, a six-hour limited series. <\/p>\n
