Carlos Alcaraz<\/a> extended his Big Titles lead over rival Jannik Sinner<\/a> on Monday when he lifted the Cincinnati Open<\/a> trophy.<\/p>\n Sinner, the No. 1 player in the PIF ATP Rankings, did not lose a set en route to the championship match. But after Alcaraz took a 5-0 lead on Monday, the ailing Italian retired to give the Spaniard a 9-5 lead in their Lexus ATP Head2Head series<\/a>.<\/p>\n You May Also Like: Alcaraz claims first Cincinnati crown after Sinner retires<\/a><\/p>\n Alcaraz now owns 13 Big Titles \u2014 a combination of Grand Slam championships, trophies at the Nitto ATP Finals<\/a> and ATP Masters 1000 tournaments, and Olympic singles gold medals \u2014 and has claimed eight ATP Masters 1000 trophies, more than any active player besides Novak Djokovic<\/a> (40).\u00a0<\/p>\n Big Titles Won: Alcaraz & Sinner<\/strong><\/p>\n NATPF<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/td>\n Alcaraz is 8-1 in Masters 1000 finals, with his only defeat coming in the 2023 Cincinnati final, in which he held championship point against Novak Djokovic<\/a> before the Serbian rallied to victory in a thrilling final-set tie-break. The Spaniard is on a 17-match winning streak at Masters 1000 events.<\/p>\n The 22-year-old has won an ATP Tour-leading six titles this season, including four Big Titles. He has claimed three Masters 1000 crowns in 2025 \u2014 in Monte-Carlo, Rome and Cincinnati \u2014 as well as a major trophy at Roland Garros<\/a>.<\/p>\n This is the first year in which Alcaraz has earned four Big Titles in a season after capturing three in each of 2022, 2023 and 2024. He will have four opportunities to add to that tally with the US Open<\/a>, Shanghai, Paris and the Nitto ATP Finals<\/a> still to come.<\/p>\n Alcaraz has won a Big Title for every four tournaments he has played in his career.
