Portillo\u2019s was recently under scrutiny for growing too fast. The Grand Prairie location will be Portillo\u2019s eighth restaurant in Dallas-Fort Worth.<\/p>\n Four more restaurants are next in Texas, according to a Portillo\u2019s rep, and two are in Dallas-Fort Worth. Plans call for restaurants at Tanger Outlets in Fort Worth, Galleria Dallas, Lubbock and El Paso.<\/p>\n Dates for the Fort Worth and Galleria Dallas Portillo\u2019s were not yet available.<\/p>\n Portillo\u2019s will be at 3102 State Highway 161, Grand Prairie. Find other locations here<\/a>.<\/p>\n Sending in Sweetgreen<\/p>\n Sweetgreen, the publicly-traded salad company valued at $1.1 billion, is set to open its sixth Dallas-Fort Worth restaurant on Aug. 26, 2025. <\/p>\n It will open in Snider Plaza, across the street from Southern Methodist University. Sweetgreen will replace competitor salad shop Crisp & Green<\/a>, now closed. <\/p>\n The Chicken Pesto Parm is a staple on Sweetgreen’s menu. Spinach and quinoa are tossed with roasted chicken, spicy broccoli, tomatoes, Parmesan, za’atar breadcrumbs, pesto vinaigrette and hot sauce.<\/p>\n Sarah Blaskovich\/Staff<\/p>\n Sweetgreen is popular for its build-your-own bowls and seasonal specials like a Peach and Goat Cheese Salad.<\/p>\n The company already has restaurants in Uptown Dallas, Lakewood, Southlake, Fort Worth and Addison.
