    New York, NY, August 18, 2025-One-third of U.S. economy\u2019s are in recession, one-third are treading water and one-third are expanding, reports Mark Zandi, chief economist at Moody\u2019s Analytics.<\/p>\n

    <\/p>\n

    In recession are the federal government, transportation and distribution, agriculture, mining, manufacturing and construction.<\/p>\n

    <\/p>\n

    Treading water are leisure and hospitality, professional services, retail trade, financial services, information and utilities.<\/p>\n

    <\/p>\n

    Growing are healthcare services, technology, state and local government, education and real estate.\u00a0<\/p>\n

    <\/p>\n

    Much of the flooring business is characterized under “construction.”<\/p>\n
