PHOENIX \u2014 A man was arrested after he allegedly fought and stabbed another man in Glendale on Tuesday morning, authorities said.<\/p>\n

Robert Cheatham, 24, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, according to a Wednesday announcement from the Glendale Police Department.<\/p>\n

At 1 a.m., officers responded to reports of a stabbing at an apartment complex near 6600\u00a0W.\u00a0Glendale Avenue<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Officers arrived on scene and found a man suffering from about seven stab wounds, according to court documents. Police did not release the victim\u2019s name.<\/p>\n

The owner of the apartment said Cheatham and the victim were arguing inside a bedroom, which continued to escalate, police said.<\/p>\n

Cheatham and the victim threw punches at one another before Cheatham stabbed him in the stomach and back, police said.<\/p>\n

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital and is expected to survive his injuries.<\/p>\n
