Google Maps<\/p>\n<p>A firearm was recovered in the building, authorities said.<\/p>\n<p>The teenager was allegedly hanging out in his family\u2019s apartment with a handful of friends when the gun went off, sources told the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nydailynews.com\/2025\/06\/25\/boy-fatally-shot-head-queens-apartment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" data-nyp-affiliate=\"true\">Daily News<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>One of the friends, however, stayed at the home to open the door for the police when they arrived, the outlet reported.<\/p>\n<p>The victim\u2019s parents, who were both at work at the time, rushed home only to find their son dead.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI save people everyday, but I couldn\u2019t save my own son. I don\u2019t know why God would do this to me. He was a beautiful boy,\u201d the victim\u2019s mother, a registered nurse, told the outlet.<\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:1.49926794;display:block\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-modal-image=\"36354051\" width=\"885\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Default_100109751-1.jpg\" alt=\"Close-up of red and blue police lights.\" class=\"wp-image-36354051\"  \/>It is unclear who the gun belonged to, but neighbors suggested one of the victim\u2019s friends brought it.
