SAN ANTONIO, Tx \u2014 It\u2019s been four months since 14-year-old Simon Cuevas was attacked by a group of boys when one of them pulled out a gun, killing him.<\/p>\n
18-year-old Fernando Flores is now in jail charged with capital murder for the death of Simon Cuevas. Although one suspect is now in custody, Simon\u2019s mother Alejandra Cuevas still feels justice is out of reach.<\/p>\n
\u201cI love you,\u201d Alejandra Cuevas said. \u201cI wish this wasn\u2019t real, but because it is I\u2019m going to do whatever I can to make sure justice is served for you.\u201d<\/p>\n
On April 16 Simon Cuevas was followed by five suspects after he left Brewer Academy. Police say the suspects planned the attack near South Elmendorf and Merida that left Cuevas on the ground fighting for his life. Police say 18-year-old Fernando Flores allegedly pulled out a gun and shot Simon Cuevas in the abdomen killing him.<\/p>\n
\u201cI wake up and go through every emotion from angry to sad,\u201d Alejandra Cuevas said. \u201cThen I have to gather myself together and get ready for my day. \u201c<\/p>\n
Witnesses told police the boys in the video seen jumping Simon Cuevas were juveniles but at least two suspects are adults. Simon Cuevas\u2019 mother is plagued with questions. She says her son did not know any of the men accused of his murder.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have yet to be given all those details,\u201d Alejandra Cuevas said. \u201cI know the truth will come out eventually. I wouldn\u2019t want any other mother to feel my pain. No mother deserves to bury their child.\u201d<\/p>\n
