FC Barcelona began the defence of their La Liga title in style, defeating RCD Mallorca 3-0 away at Son Moix this past Saturday.<\/p>\n

Goals from Raphinha, Ferran Torres, and Lamine Yamal sealed the victory for the reigning champions against Jagoba Arrasate\u2019s team, who were down to nine men in the first half.<\/p>\n

Up next for Barcelona is another trip away from home as they take on UD Levante at the Ciutat de Valencia this coming Saturday.<\/p>\n

Five Barcelona players train on day off<\/p>\n

With there being plenty of time before the next game, Barcelona manager Hansi Flick gave today off to his players following their recovery session on Sunday after returning from Mallorca.<\/p>\n

Despite having a rest day, as many as five Barcelona stars showed up at Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper to train today, reports Carlos Monfort of SPORT<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Indeed, Pedri, Dani Olmo, Joan Garcia, Wojciech Szczesny, and Oriol Romeu were all present at the club\u2019s training facilities today, working voluntarily despite it being their day off.<\/p>\n

Hansi Flick and his staff were also present at the training facilities.<\/p>\n

Of the five players, Pedri and Joan Garcia started the game against Mallorca and had solid games at Son Moix. Olmo, meanwhile, played in the second period, coming on for Fermin Lopez at half-time.<\/p>\n

Szczesny was not part of the travelling squad as he is not registered by Barcelona yet while Romeu was also left behind as he is not part of Hansi Flick\u2019s plans.<\/p>\n

In fact, the veteran midfielder is soon expected to reach an agreement for the termination of his contract<\/a> so that he can leave the club as a free agent.<\/p>\n
