The Guardians of the Galaxy and Jurassic World star is married to Katherine Schwarzenegger, the daughter of Kennedy\u2019s first cousin Maria Shriver and Arnold Schwarzenegger. The pair run into one another at family events, Pratt said, where they \u201cplay cards,\u201d \u201cplay Mafia,\u201d or have dinner. But he doesn\u2019t \u201cpick his brain\u201d about his policies when they\u2019re together.<\/p>\n
To Pratt\u2019s point about RFK Jr.\u2019s work against \u201ctoxicity,\u201d Trump\u2019s Health Secretary has supported more regulations around infant formula<\/a> and restricting dyes and additives in food<\/a>, as well as weakened vaccination access by, among other things<\/a>, canceling millions<\/a> of dollars in mRNA Vaccine research, despite overwhelming scientific consensus that vaccines are safe, effective, and critical to preventing deadly disease outbreaks. His highly criticized response<\/a> to the measles outbreak\u2014which cost the lives of two unvaccinated children<\/a> in Texas\u2014consisted of a push for unproven preventatives<\/a> like vitamin A, until he finally declared<\/a> that the MMR vaccine is \u201cthe most effective way to prevent the spread of measles.\u201d<\/p>\n Pratt said he doesn\u2019t keep up with the news about his cousin-in-law because \u201cwhen you jump on in on the bandwagon with who is, you know, the most divisive president ever, it makes sense that you\u2019re going to be made to look terrible. And so I don\u2019t know what to believe.\u201d He went on, \u201cI hope there are certain things that he oversees that seem to be supported in a bipartisan way, like getting terrible, toxic stuff out of our kids\u2019 food. I think that\u2019s a great thing. And so, if you just do that, that\u2019s amazing.\u201d<\/p>\n Pratt\u2019s political leanings have been a point of interest among fans, who discovered that he was consuming content<\/a> from social media accounts that circulate alt-right sentiments and homophobia. The only affiliation the actor has publicly claimed<\/a>, however, is his Christian faith<\/a>, though he\u2019s since said he didn\u2019t want to be \u201cthe face of religion.\u201d He\u2019s been called out in <\/a>for aligning himself with Christian figures who spread anti-LGBTQ messages, including by fellow actor Elliot Page<\/a> in 2019. <\/p>\n After Trump\u2019s election win, Pratt penned an op-ed<\/a> for his mother-in-law\u2019s website, saying that he was \u201ctrying to make sense of the election through the eyes of Americans on both sides,\u201d not long after skipping a high-profile Avengers meet-up<\/a> to support Kamala Harris in 2024.
