\n\tUPDATED: <\/strong>A documentary about Ozzy Osbourne<\/a> set to air on BBC One Monday night was pulled from the broadcaster\u2019s schedule to respect his family\u2019s wishes.<\/p>\n

\n\tThough there was initially no reason given for pulling the doc, a BBC spokesperson told BBC News<\/a> on Tuesday that it was at the request of Osbourne\u2019s family.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cOur sympathies are with the Osbourne family at this difficult time. We are respecting the family\u2019s wishes to wait a bit longer before airing this very special film,\u201d the spokesperson said. \u201cThe new [transmission] date will be confirmed shortly.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tTitled \u201cOzzy Osbourne: Coming Home,\u201d the doc was filmed over the past three years and was meant to be a \u201cmoving and inspirational account\u201d of the legendary rocker\u2019s last chapter, according to BBC News<\/a>. Produced by Expectation TV, the doc includes interviews with Osbourne as well as his wife Sharon and children Jack and Kelly, and also detailed his journey to moving back to the U.K.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThis intimate film follows the final three years of Ozzy Osbourne\u2019s life as he and Sharon plan a return home after 25 years in L.A. and prepare for the ultimate farewell gig,\u201d the doc\u2019s official synopsis reads.<\/p>\n

\n\tOsbourne died on July 22 at the age of 76, just 17 days after playing his final concert in his hometown of Birmingham. Called \u201cBack to the Beginning,\u201d the all-day event included performances by Osbourne and Black Sabbath as well as tributes from Metallica, Guns N\u2019 Roses, Slayer, Tool, Pantera, Alice in Chains and more. Due to his previous spinal injuries and Parkinson\u2019s disease, Osbourne remained seated for the event but otherwise appeared in good health. His cause of death<\/a> was later revealed to have been a heart attack.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning,\u201d the family said in a statement announcing his death. \u201cHe was with his family and surrounded by love.
