According to architects Branko Pavlovi\u0107 and Luca Montanarella, the word \u201cwhale\u201d was associated with their practice for the first time during the construction of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.archdaily.com\/780054\/stranded-house-whale\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Stranded House<\/a>. On a visit to the site, a friend noticed that its structure, still without cladding at the time, resembled the image of a whale skeleton resting on the edge of the Pacific Ocean.
