A winning Powerball ticket worth $50,000 was sold at a Greece supermarket, the New York Lottery announced on Aug. 19.<\/p>\n

Lottery officials said that the third-prize-level ticket was one of four sold in New York state for the Powerball drawing on Monday. Aug. 18. The local winning ticket was sold at Wegmans, 3701 Mt. Read Blvd. in Greece. Three other tickets worth $50,000 each were sold at a liquor store in Brooklyn and in convenience stores in Clifton Park and Nanuet, according to the New York Lottery.<\/p>\n

Currently, the estimated Powerball jackpot is at $643 million, with a cash payout value of $290.6 million, according to the Powerball lottery website. Monday’s drawing was the 35th drawing since the Powerball jackpot (of $204.5 million) was won in California in May.<\/p>\n
