One of the most impressive streaks came to an end last season when Oklahoma State<\/a><\/b> finally failed to make a postseason appearance in 2024.<\/p>\n

Prior to last season, the Cowboys had reached a bowl game for 19-straight seasons, which was good for the fifth-longest streak behind Georgia<\/a><\/b> (28 seasons), Oklahoma<\/a><\/b> (26), Alabama<\/a><\/b> (21) and Clemson<\/a><\/b> (20). It was a standard that head coach Mike Gundy<\/a><\/b> brought to Stillwater his second season at the helm before seeing it drop off by the second week of November, 2024.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In Oklahoma State’s practice facility, a banner from each bowl appearance is hanging from the rafters. Before Gundy took over, the Cowboys had played in just 16 bowl games since 1944.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Now, with new coaches around him and a plethora of new players to coach, Gundy and the Cowboys will look to return to the postseason and play a 13th game for the 22nd time this century.<\/p>\n
