Local authorities are asking for the public\u2019s assistance in identifying two suspects involved in an aggravated robbery near the elevator at a west Houston hotel.<\/p>\n
On Friday, Aug. 1, 2025, around 5:40 a.m., two unidentified men entered a hotel lobby in the 5300 block of Westheimer in Houston. <\/p>\n
The men approached a man who was waiting for the elevator after just arriving to the hotel. They forced him to the ground, repeatedly striking him and running away with his belongings.<\/p>\n
The men then fled the scene, getting into a white four-door Buick sedan from the right passenger doors before speeding away.<\/p>\n
The circumstances of the robbery sounded like a possible jugging-type robbery. The victim had recently won a large sum of money playing poker at a private social club located in the 6100 block of Westheimer. Police believe the suspects may have been aware of these winnings and followed the man from the club.<\/p>\n
One of the suspects was seen wearing a black shirt and black shorts with a bucket hat. The other wore a black hoodie and black pants with some sort of white facial covering.<\/p>\n
