In Frisco, Dallas Cowboys fans are fired up for their first up-close look at the team inside the Ford Center at The Star ahead of their regular-season opener.<\/p>\n

Kris Klimek drove more than three hours on Tuesday, so the Oklahoma City native wasn’t about to let temperatures touching triple digits keep him from enjoying the experience.<\/p>\n

“There’s a lot of cool food and shops nearby, pretty amazing what we’ve seen so far,” Klimek said. “But yeah, it’s super hot.”<\/p>\n

The Dallas Cowboys held the first of two free admission practices Tuesday evening inside the air-conditioned comfort of the Ford Center.<\/p>\n

It’s a tradition the Cowboys have held in Frisco for several years <\/a>to help kick off their return to North Texas as training camp shifts from Oxnard, CA, ahead of the regular season.<\/p>\n

Chris Brown traveled from Dallas with his younger brother Jeremiah for the first opportunity to attend a Cowboys practice.<\/p>\n

“I’m really looking forward to seeing how Dak (Prescott) is doing, make sure he’s all good and see how he’s going to look,” Brown said.<\/p>\n

Fans waited in line outside the Ford Center in the heat, drinking water, finding shade where possible, with several fans holding umbrellas.<\/p>\n

When doors opened at 4:30 p.m., fans could feel the cold air inside the Ford Center spill out onto the plaza as they made their way inside.<\/p>\n
