Austin Butler<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s fans are most certainly saying thank you, thank you very much.<\/p>\n

The Elvis actor debuted his eye-popping body transformation for his upcoming film Caught Stealing and detailed how he achieved his buff, ab-heavy new look. <\/p>\n

In the new photos, the Carrie Diaries alum appeared shirtless with a sweater wrapped around his waist and accessorized with a necklace, accentuating his physique that can be seen in Caught Stealing, where Austin plays a burned-out former baseball player. And the role required him to look toned but not too toned, as requested by director Darren Aronofsky<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI actually have a whole section of just baseball players\u2019 asses that he would send me,\u201d Austin shared with Men\u2019s Health<\/a> for their September\/October 2025 issue. \u201cHe was like, \u2018Look how thick they are!'”<\/p>\n

The 34-year-old worked with trainer Beth Lewis<\/strong>\u2014who also worked with Hugh Jackman<\/strong><\/a> on Deadpool & Wolverine\u2014and made sure Austin was constantly eating and even drinking a few beers to achieve the desired look. <\/p>\n

And it was a far cry from his look in Elvis, which the Oscar nominee shared was partly achieved through eating donuts and melted ice cream. However, he\u2019d lost most of the weight he gained to play the \u201cHound Dog\u201d singer by the time that film\u2019s awards season rolled around, explaining that he would often forget to eat because of his nerves and anxiety.<\/p>\n

After training to get from 150 pounds to 185 through \u201ca ton of hip thrusters,\u201d Austin accomplished the new look\u2014but not without a few fashionable casualties.<\/p>\n

He joked, \u201cI\u2019ve got a whole section of Celine pants that I just can\u2019t even wear anymore.\u201d <\/p>\n

Still, all of it has been in pursuit of his acting goals, like when he was training with former Navy Seal Duffy<\/strong> Gaver <\/strong>for Dune: Part Two, who helped him achieve the shredded look in that film through weight training and his diet: \u201cI remember him telling me, \u2018Chicken, broccoli, brown rice, and lift, motherf–kers.\u2019”<\/p>\n

And with all the focus on his body, Austin shared that he\u2019s actually been able to find a way to approach his craft more thoughtfully.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor a long time, I felt that it had to be a tortured process,\u201d he explained, \u201cand I would come out the other side broken.\u201d<\/p>\n

But now, he sees a better way.<\/p>\n

\u201cRather than just putting parts of yourself away and trying to pretend that they don\u2019t exist, it\u2019s like going into the gross bits of yourself,\u201d he continued, \u201cgoing into the bits that you don\u2019t want to look at\u2014and finding a way of integrating that into the whole.\u201d <\/p>\n

“Ren\u00e9e was extremely emotionally and artistically involved in Judy, the movie’s costume designer, Jany Temime<\/strong>, who also worked on the Harry Potter films, told Vulture<\/a>. “It was her film. I think she really got into Judy’s skin.”<\/p>\n

Zellweger told the outlet, “Jany fit the costumes to Judy’s posture. So the dresses didn’t fit me unless I stood like I was supposed to stand. The zipper wouldn’t go up.”<\/p>\n
