{"id":160023,"date":"2025-08-20T03:00:09","date_gmt":"2025-08-20T03:00:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/160023\/"},"modified":"2025-08-20T03:00:09","modified_gmt":"2025-08-20T03:00:09","slug":"target-responds-to-allegations-related-to-firing-chicago-employees-nbc-chicago","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/160023\/","title":{"rendered":"Target responds to allegations related to firing Chicago employees \u2013 NBC Chicago"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Target fired employees from a Chicago warehouse for violating their code of ethics, the company said amid allegations from employees that the terminations were related to a medical benefits scheme. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Following an internal investigation, we have terminated team members found in violation of our company&#8217;s code of ethics,&#8221; Target said in a statement. <\/p>\n<p>The claims that workers at Target\u2019s Little Village distribution center, located at 3501 South Pulaski Road, were fired after they took advantage of the company\u2019s medical loan program were <a href=\"https:\/\/blockclubchicago.org\/2025\/08\/19\/target-fires-hundreds-from-little-village-warehouse-over-medical-benefits-scheme-employees-say\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/blockclubchicago.org\/2025\/08\/19\/target-fires-hundreds-from-little-village-warehouse-over-medical-benefits-scheme-employees-say\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">first reported by Block Club Chicago<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Workers at the warehouse took advantage of a &#8220;glitch&#8221; in the company&#8217;s medical loan program, employees told Block Club.
