The emu appears to be healthy despite looking slightly agitated after its roadside adventure.<\/p>\n<p>This is not the first time an emu has made headlines in Southern Maryland. A similar case was <a href=\"https:\/\/thebaynet.com\/runaway-emu-captured-in-charles-county-now-up-for-adoption\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported recently in Charles County<\/a>, raising questions about whether the birds are becoming unexpected escape artists in the region.<\/p>\n<p>County officials are now trying to locate the owner of the animal. Anyone who recognizes the bird or knows its owner is asked to contact the adoption center at 301-475-8018 for reclaim.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Got a tip or photo?
