BioNTX said the expansion \u201cstrengthens cross-state collaboration, elevates the visibility of early-stage life science technologies, and broadens opportunities for investors and innovation to reach commercialization.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A panel of judges reviewed the applying universities\u2019 featured technology and selected these six finalists to advance to the pitch event at the iC\u00b3 Summit:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>The University of Texas at Austin<\/li>\n<li>Vanderbilt University<\/li>\n<li>New Mexico State University<\/li>\n<li>The University of Texas at Dallas<\/li>\n<li>University of Memphis<\/li>\n<li>UT Southwestern Medical Center<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<br \/>\nShining a light on \u2018on the shelf\u2019 technologies<\/p>\n<p>BioNTX said its Tech Transfer Showcase shines a spotlight on breakthrough technologies \u2014 many of which are still \u201con the shelf\u201d\u2014while supporting the development of the next generation of scientific leaders and entrepreneurs.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis platform gives outstanding visibility into the deep bench of talent we have in our regional ecosystem,\u201d BioNTX CEO Kathleen Otto-Rosenblum said in a statement. \u201cBy highlighting early-stage technologies and connecting them to capital, collaborators, and commercial pathways, we\u2019re helping drive the future of innovation across the South-Central U.S.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Chad Ronholdt, a veteran life science entrepreneur who\u2019s chairman of the BioNTX Tech Transfer Committee, said the showcase is \u201cwhere innovation meets opportunity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re excited to expand this initiative beyond Texas and help surface cutting-edge research with real-world potential,\u201d he added in a statement. \u201cIt\u2019s a win for universities, entrepreneurs, and the broader health innovation community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Each finalist will work closely with a Tech Transfer judge to refine their pitch, gaining valuable insights into commercial readiness, market fit, business models, and strategic partnerships, BioNTX said. During the live showcase at the iC\u00b3 Summit, finalists will present to an audience of biotech leaders, venture capitalists, and innovation stakeholders.
