This week’s MTA Hero is Ekow Amuaku, who helped launched the OMNY Customer Service Center.<\/p>\n

NEW YORK (WABC) — This week’s MTA Hero is Ekow Amuaku, an administrative assistant for the 511 contact center for New York City Transit.<\/p>\n

Amuaku played a key role in launching the transit system’s OMNY Customer Service Center earlier this summer.<\/p>\n

The center receives about 200 to 300 calls a day and is designed to assist customers with their accounts — from questions about reduced subway fare to about traveling in the system.<\/p>\n

He has been with the MTA for 13 years.<\/p>\n

Amuaku says he loves helping customers and learning new things.<\/p>\n
