HEREFORD, Texas (KVII) \u2014 A chiropractor in Hereford is accused of secretly recording a female patient. Police are not sure if there are other victims.<\/p>\n
Dr. Michael J. Ellis is charged with invasive visual recording.<\/p>\n
Police started the investigation into Ellis after one of his patients filed a complaint.<\/p>\n
The case was referred to the Deaf Smith County District Attorney\u2019s Office for review. <\/p>\n
Due to a potential conflict of interest, the case was transferred to the Castro County District Attorney\u2019s Office for continued review and investigation.<\/p>\n
On Aug. 13, the Castro County District Attorney\u2019s Office presented the case to a Deaf Smith County grand jury, which indicted Ellis on one count of invasive visual recording.<\/p>\n
An arrest warrant was issued Monday. Later that same day, Ellis was arrested at his office and booked into the Deaf Smith County Jail.<\/p>\n
The Hereford Police Department is continuing to investigate this matter. <\/p>\n
