{"id":161946,"date":"2025-08-20T20:10:11","date_gmt":"2025-08-20T20:10:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/161946\/"},"modified":"2025-08-20T20:10:11","modified_gmt":"2025-08-20T20:10:11","slug":"bear-breaks-into-south-lake-tahoe-ice-cream-shop-prefers-strawberry","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/161946\/","title":{"rendered":"Bear breaks into South Lake Tahoe ice cream shop, prefers strawberry"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif.  \u2014 Deputies in South Lake Tahoe had an unexpected early-morning encounter Sunday, Aug. 17, when a large bear decided to try its paw at customer service.<\/p>\n<p>The bear was spotted behind the counter at the Ice Cream Shop at Camp Richardson, reportedly showing a strong preference for strawberry ice cream. After some polite coaxing, the bear wandered off\u2014presumably still craving a cone.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities said the bear, nicknamed \u201cFuzzy\u201d by staff, caused little to no damage and left cleanup to a minimum.
