{"id":162084,"date":"2025-08-20T21:24:10","date_gmt":"2025-08-20T21:24:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/162084\/"},"modified":"2025-08-20T21:24:10","modified_gmt":"2025-08-20T21:24:10","slug":"hallmark-eliminates-30-jobs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/162084\/","title":{"rendered":"Hallmark Eliminates 30 Jobs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t<strong>EXCLUSIVE:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/hallmark\/\" id=\"auto-tag_hallmark\" data-tag=\"hallmark\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Hallmark<\/a> eliminated 30 jobs on Wednesday in an effort to \u201ctransition our workforce to meet the needs of the business today.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tAmong those who were impacted by the <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/layoffs\/\" id=\"auto-tag_layoffs\" data-tag=\"layoffs\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">layoffs<\/a> was Jimmy Holcomb, the Vice President of Production at <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/hallmark-media\/\" id=\"auto-tag_hallmark-media\" data-tag=\"hallmark-media\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Hallmark Media<\/a>. He oversaw the physical production of MOWs, series, and specials for Hallmark Media\u2019s broadcast channels and was also credited for creating new ventures for Hallmark Media throughout the world. One of his projects for the Hallmark Channel included The Watsons Go to Birmingham, which was financed by Walden Media. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t\u201cAs the industry continues to traverse a significant period of transformation, Hallmark is taking steps to transition our workforce to meet the needs of the business today,\u201d according to a Hallmark spokesperson. \u201cThis means an ongoing exploration of specific roles and functions.\u00a0 While these decisions are never easy, we have eliminated 30 roles across multiple areas of the organization and have restructured parts of our business with the goal of investing in capabilities that will propel our business into the future.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tEarlier this month, Hallmark demonstrated a desire to move back to the basics by rehiring\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/michelle-vicary\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Michelle Vicary<\/a>, who helped to establish\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/hallmark-channel\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Hallmark Channel<\/a>, Hallmark Movies &amp; Mysteries and Hallmark Drama with fan-friendly programming like\u00a0When Calls the Heart. She returned to the network to oversee all production and original programming across Hallmark\u2019s content platforms. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tVicary previously served as Crown Media\u2019s lead programming and production executive\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2021\/05\/michelle-vicary-exit-crown-media-family-networks-evp-programming-overhaul-hallmark-channel-parent-1234758672\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">before exiting in 2021.\u00a0<\/a>She had been at the company since its inception by developing popular series like\u00a0When Calls the Heart\u00a0and\u00a0Good Witch.
