<\/p>\nLOWER EAST SIDE, Manhattan (WABC) — If you ever wanted to experience the Pok\u00e9mon craze as it was back in the late ’90s, or if you’re simply in the mood for a bit of rose-tinted nostalgia, look no further than New York City’s Lower East Side.<\/p>\n
A poster for “Pok\u00e9mon: The First Movie,” which was released in 1999, was discovered at the East Broadway F train subway station, hidden beneath decades of posters that had been pasted over it and a MetroCard machine which was recently removed.<\/p>\n
Like a rare sighting of the legendary Pok\u00e9mon Mewtwo, who is featured in the film, the poster is quite the gem!<\/p>\n
It’s 26 years old – and it looks its age, with much of the remnants tattered and torn – but perhaps that’s the charm.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The poster has now become viral and a must visit for legions of Pok\u00e9mon fans, and yes, there are still many even after all these years.<\/p>\n
But if you want to “catch ’em all,” you’ll have to act fast before it’s replaced with a new advertisement.<\/p>\n
