The dietitian explained, \u201c Water during a run might be a comforter, however, it usually just gets in your way. You shouldn&#8217;t be relying on getting your hydration during the run. You should be focusing on looking after it earlier on in the day, across the days leading up to it is going to be far more beneficial.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"indo-ebe0ecc6_root indo-ebe0ecc6_paragraph indo-300db776_none indo-91174671_primary indo-1d70522a_marginbottom5 indo-1d70522a_margintop0 indo-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">The registered dietitian advises people not to try anything new on race day. She explained, \u201c\u200aPeople will offer you some fancy new gel you haven&#8217;t tried because it kind of gives you that pep in your step and 10 minutes in you think, my stomach&#8217;s not great here.
